The proposed Edgewater Station Carpark is a standalone three-storey parking facility accommodating approximately 290 car bays per level. This carpark is intended to address the increasing demand for station commuter parking and is seen as a benchmark project for future multistorey carparks at other rail stations on the urban network.
This carpark provides natural ventilation, optimum vehicular circulation and manoeuvre patterns for ease of patron parking, safety and efficient way finding. The ‘open deck’ also removes the requirement for sprinklers and other means of mechanical ventilation that clutter most carparks.
The carpark is screened with an economic yet visually engaging façade affording passive surveillance, shade and weather protection.
